Civil Wedding Ceremonies

The Dromhall Hotel has played host to a number of civil ceremonies since it became a fully approved venue. Let the regal setting of our Shelbourne Suite provide a magical backdrop for this most special of occasions or, for a smaller and more intimate venue, choose our attractive Deerhunter Suite. We are here to assist you at every step and can cater from the intimate to the elaborate with ease.

Contact The 4* Dromhall Hotel to check on availability of dates in conjunction with The Registrar. The Registrar will conduct Civil Marriage Ceremonies in the Shelbourne Suite, the Abbey or the Deerhunter Suite - all approved venues within The Dromhall hotel.

Once approval has been granted for your Civil Marriage ceremony to take place, you will be free to proceed with the exciting business of organising your Wedding Reception. We are here to help and can source anything from bands to wedding cakes. We also have some novel suggestions such as Sweet Tables on arrival and Video Booths to jazz up your big day!

The Offical Bits from the Registrar are laid out below:

  • Ceremonies are not permitted outside and the room must be accessible to the general public for the duration of the ceremony.
  • No alcohol must be consumed or be available in the room one hour prior to and for the duration of the ceremony. No religious artifacts, icons or symbols may be displayed in the room.
  • A notice must be prominently displayed in The Foyer with details of intended spouses attending the Civil Marriage & Ceremony time.
  • Any person wishing to make contact with The Registrar must be allowed to do so
